This was fantastic! It really gave me flashbacks to playing the Thief games. The graphics and atmosphere were great, the stealth worked fine, it was spooky and tense. Just a really good time all around. I would have played a lot more.
Definitely recommended if you have 30 minutes to kill.

I love the sudden Thief cinematic. I'm a big fan myself, and I’m definitely also inspired by those games and a lot of other older games in that era.
Usually, I estimate the playthrough time in my games based on my friends who help me with testing.
About the game: In the latest version, the map has been updated to highlight the room where the player is located. The map is going to be even better looking in the upcoming version. My Photoshop skills has improved 😉 There’s a lot of new stuff coming up soon. I’m working on an ending system, which has several outcomes, depending on what the player decides to do during the game. I’m also adding new rooms to explore and making some improvements to the game.
I hope you will consider giving the upcoming version a shot at some point. Cheers

I suggest that you wait with your next playthrough, because currently, I’m working on a larger update including more areas, overall improvements and a new ending system depending on the player’s decisions during gameplay. Hopefully it should be ready soon.

Yeah, the random audio does helps creating a great atmosphere. I use that effect in all my games.
Currently I’m working on some new endgame content. I’m adding a couple of new areas. There are also going to be several endgame scenarios, depending on what the player does. If the player decides to take the crown, he will be cursed through the rest of the game. Then he needs to figure out what to do to break the curse. I’ll probably also allow the player to turn around and grab the crown instead of the collapse.
I hope the mold inspector returns, when it’s ready 😉

The scary bits got me good! Game was interesting, the beginning of the game had very creepy ambiance, I didn't really notice the creepy voices and sounds later on. I delve more deeper into what I thought of the game at te end of my video at 21:17.

First of all, the compass was glitched in your version. I have fixed it already. Secondly, I have revamped the map, so it now indicates the player’s current position.
More traps and variations are also going to be added.
About the ambient music, there’s only one track playing, when entering the dining hall and that’s totally on purpose. I do agree it’s cool with just the silence, with the random voices appearing here and there. It’s also correct, that the creepy audio is lacking at the end.
I do agree the ghost looks poorly, since they just are basic humanoids with a bright material attached. I really want to add some cool shader effects someday, but unfortunately, I’m lacking the knowledge at the moment. I’ll get there hopefully.
Puzzles is also a great suggestion, since I love puzzle games myself. However, it wasn’t my intention to add puzzle into this game in the first place, but who knows. I might add something.
Lastly, I’m currently working on the last part of the game, because I’m not satisfied with the last part either. I don’t want the player to leave the dungeon just like that. Instead, I want to give the player some options. I’m thinking something with the crown, when collecting it, it begins to give the player some haunting visions (scares), and it’s preventing you from leaving and you have to sacrifice something in return. Perhaps another survivor. I’m trying to figure it out what to do exactly.

Well, it was pure luck I noticed your comment that quickly. I had just finished uploaded an update. The issue that you experienced, took me about 2 min to address, and I already had the project opened. So, no worries. Anyway, I’m glad you managed to get the game up and running and I’m looking forward to watch your playthrough.
I loved, later I began pay attention in souls whispering - Man, that mechanism while we wandering around to fetch some secrets and treasures guided by souls was brillant idea and creepy. But if us take aside off our emotions we have great guides to lead us to secrets and valuable treasures. Keep up make excellent games. Congratulations. :)
This game is fun! I wish it did a little more to scare the player but It was hard to be scared because I was so excited to find the loot haha. Cool secret rooms by the way :P
The game had a really nice creep factor to it and I even got scared by a jumpscare based on how well you used the silence to enhance the scare. I only wish there was a bit more variety in traps beyond the 2 I have seen so far. Other then that, Great game.

The reason why you couldn’t pick up the loot at the barrel, was because the barrel collider was higher than the loot object itself. I have already fixed it for the next update.

I do agree with you that Skyrim is a cool game, and I'll admit that my game also has some Skyrim vibes to it.
However, I’m not planning to create a full Skyrim game just by myself. 😊
It was obviously that you broke the game. The player has to take fall damage and die, when you jump down for the crown and also from the bridge.
In the torture chamber, there was two doors. You missed one lever on the floor. It was in your sight a couple of times. It basically just leads to the pit (secret area).
I know the ghosts aren’t that scary. It’s basically just a bright humanoid. I am planning to see if I can do some cool shader effects for the ghosts, but I need to learn it first.
I did a larger update yesterday, and a small one today. Not extra content, but mainly just bug fixing and adjustments. However, I don’t have further plans for more content. I don’t really know what to add.
Oh yeah. I have to finalize my first game called Unaware. Then I am probably going to do another chapter for my zombie shooter. I might also do a Diablo clone at some point. I have already been messing around with a loot dropping system. Feel free to check the out my games here.

You missed the torture chamber not far from the beginning. There’s some loot to be had down there.
The reason why you saw weird shadows, is because I moved stuff around and forgot to rebake the lighting.
Also, I have to remove that platform at the bridge you landed on. Not supposed to happen as you mentioned.

The stone things in the sewers were missing a collider. That’s why you could clip through.

After getting the crown, you need to continue through the small gap in the wall inside the cathedral. After that, it should be straight forward.
