After playing version 0.0.9 I have drawn some conclusions:
Pros: - Very varied and entertaining puzzles. - The inventory system is well done. - The journal, where the objectives were noted. - The implementation of an NPC (Elizabeth) with which you can talk and ask things about history. - A very intriguing story. - The design of the house. - The implementation of the character's body with its animations. - The implementation of physics in some objects.
Cons: - Unfortunately I found three important bugs that did not allow me to finish the game: a) Elizabeth approached me to talk to me but I was between the clock and the table, causing my character to be unable to move. b) Just after the first bug, I opened the pause menu but it never appeared, when I moved the mouse only the compass moved. c) When I got the 3 chess pieces I tried to solve the puzzle, but at first it seemed confusing and I left it for later, but when I came back it told me that I was missing pieces, even though I had them all in the journal. - I found some small bugs (they don't affect the game): a) Some lights disappear when you walk away and suddenly appear when you approach (living room). b) In the attic, I placed myself on top of an object and the character's camera went over the roof and I could see the outside scene (sky, trees ...). c) When my lighter's bar ran out, the light didn't go out. It only went out when I did it myself.
Suggestions: - Add more horror moments. - Remove background music and replace it with more sound effects. Example: when you approach a window that the wind and the sound of trees are heard. That generates more immersion. (It's only a personal opinion) - When entering "puzzle mode" and hover over the objects that you can collect, I would like "E" to know that you can interact with that. Just as you did with the doors and other objects. - Add another color to the bottom of the inventory or the images of the objects have a delineated, since when I grabbed some objects such as the hammer or shirt, I did not know very well where they were because they hardly saw each other.
In general, a very good game that combines puzzles with a few moments of terror, with the occasional slight failure that can be solved. Very enjoyable and entertaining.
This is a long-detailed list. I will try my best to cover it all
The bugs you mentioned (chess and stuck) were major, I am sorry for that, but also, I am glad you managed to point them out, so I could fix them.
I have already fixed these bugs in the latest version (hopefully).
I do admit I have some issues with the lighting in different resolutions/quality settings. I don’t exactly know how to fix these yet. I have tried playing around with the lighting settings, but somehow it doesn’t want to behave like I want it to.
The attic – yeah, I know about this. That’s why I disabled the jumping function at first. I will think of something.
I didn’t know about the lighter-bar. I will look into that.
There will be a lot more horror events. I promise. I figured these bugs were more important to solve and they were also taking a lot of my time. Therefore, I was set a bit back unfortunately.
I do agree with some more sound effects like you suggested. As for the music. It was meant as a temporary ambience in the beginning. However, most people did comment it as a good thing to the game, so I am gonna leave it for now. For your information, it can be disabled in the sound-options.
As for picking up stuff in “puzzle mode”. I have seen a lot of people having trouble picking up stuff and so on. My thoughts about this. I have a plan trying to make a new mouse cursor. Which also tells the player which item by name, you are hovering over. This cursor will also include the key to press.
The inventory. That will be fixed.
I am glad you were entertained. Thank you so much for your feedback. It really helps me to make my game better!
First of all, yes, the game will indeed be a lot scarier. In fact, I am working on it at the moment.
Some people have the game a bit lighter than it is supposed to. That I am going to look at as well. You didn’t need your candle at all.
The thing you got from the jewelry box was a diary. It disappeared because you had the key on the cursor, while picking the diary up and while the inventory was closed. I am aware of this issue, and I might already have solved this issue already. So, it can be implemented within the next update.
I like what I've been able to play, but I'm completely stumped on a few puzzles. I can't figure out the clock, even though I thought I knew the solution from a book, I can't figure out the bookcase, even though the note I found makes my solution appear correct, and I cannot find the third chess piece (zodiac and girl I got). I also couldn't find what the rusty key goes to.
Ambience and design are great, but I just got a little lost.
I don’t know which version you played, but the latest version has some improvements to the hints/clues. However, they are not perfect yet.
As you already mentioned, the brown book does indeed have a clue about the clock. Also, the journal has a hint function, to the clock.
It seems you were close solving it. The books have to be set correctly in the shelf, before you set the clock, otherwise it won’t work.
I don’t know which chess pieces you got, but I can imagine you missed the one in the drawer. The others, you get from the girl and the zodiac box. The key isn’t important. It fits a trunk, but you don’t need its content to finish the game.
There are clues described in the books about how to solve the bookshelf. Furthermore, a hint option is possible in the journal. These hints were not the greatest in the version you played. I have improved them a bit since.
The chess board, you almost got it right by the end. Just flip the kings/queens. I am aware it can be frustrating. A guy suggested, I should make the pieces snap if they are correct placed. I will work on that.
The stove, you just needed to put in the paper and ignite it afterwards.
The key to the basement were on the desk, along with the smoking cigar 😊
First of all, thank you guys kindly for sending me this to begin with. It's always wildly appreciated. Sorry it took me a little while.
I shoulds say, I have generally had a problem lately with games appearing darker as I play them than they do after recording for some bizarre reason I cannot pinpoint, so I apologize in advance for times where I complain the game is "too dark". THat is not the case.
So, "Unaware", essentially a sort of Escape Room puzzle solving horror game, at least from this demo, is actually pretty interesting. I like the setting of the mansion, and that you have to do such mundane things as get dressed and eat to regain your strength before you can actually go outside. It's a quick way to learn about the inventory, too. And the puzzles themselves are fairly nice and straightforward, with understandable solutions and the necessary hints abound... that is, if you can find the hints and the game decides that your solution is valid. You will plainly see several times that I input the valid combination to the clock puzzle without getting any reaction, leading me to think I misinterpreted the clue until it randomly decided to work... as well as the chess game which had several bugs, including giving me a "You can solve this now" message when I only had two pieces, and being entirely too finicky with the placement of the pieces. Again, you can plainly see me end up winning by wiggling a pawn around until it decides it's precise enough. And finally, for the shapes puzzle... I ended up bruteforcing it, because I frankly have absolutely no idea where on Earth that clue was - or how I unlcoked the bookcase leading up there given I couldn't get the book placement to work the way I thought it would.
With all that said, I do like the puzzles in and of themselves, and what few scares that appear are quite effective - there just aren't quite enough of them. I am not asking for a jumpscare every room (heavens no), but walking around a house where "scares" amount to two scripted events and the occasional evil noise that comes from seemingly nowhere gets stale after a little while. Although I do appreciate that you aren't trying to solve puzzles while a monster is chasing you or anything of the sort. After a while, you just kind of end up walking around a house more than being trapped in a spooky place.
But all the same - atmosphere is thick, and you definitely do get curious as to where the heck things are going. With some fixes to make puzzles more responsive, some clue locations a bit more intuitive, an extra scare here and there (and a bit of correction on the english text), this could go some pretty cool places. I see an update or two has been uploaded since I played, so who knows, you might have already fixed some of these.
Despite some frustration with puzzles that wouldn't register as solved - I had fun! Keep it up!
Pretty good game, I like the puzzle aspect, I never did figure out what the clues were for some solutions, and I ran into bugs multiple times that prevented me from being able to finish, but I did get close to finishing. Some more fleshing out and bug fixes and this will be a great game. It would be better to have some more horror to it, the little girl is surprisingly creepy in many ways. But otherwise there were sounds that didn't seem to apply to anything and a lack of a threat. Something to make it all more atmospheric and give the player a feeling of dread and a reason to be worried would add a lot. But it's a great concept and seems to be improving along nicely. Best of luck getting the finished game out, and thanks for contacting me, your game is the first in this video.
I am sorry the game bugged on you. I am aware of some of these issues, you had with the cube puzzle. Also, the misinformation you get in the journal, when you already solved the objective. Unfortunately, this is a major bug, I am having trouble solving atm.
The issue with the girl walking constantly against you, I will have to take a look at.
You were almost correct on the chess board. The white pieces go at the bottom, and the black on top.
Did you really just open that zodiac box by luck?
Furthermore, there will be a lot more scary stuff added to the game. You can count on that. I just figure it is more important to fix these major issues first.
If you ran across any bugs, you didn’t show or I didn’t cover, please let me know.
The only thing I can think of I may not of shown is if you have an item with the inventory menu closed, if you interact with certain things that item can disappear and just be gone forever. I didn't realize the chessboard was top to bottom, the orientation felt like side to side when I saw it, and as the only way 2 players could sit and play the game would be left and right, so that's where I assumed it needed to be. As for how it bugged out in the end, after I left the chessboard with the solution I had made, it would not let me interact with the board again, it would just continuously update the journal, so I would have needed to restart the game again. I did just open the zodiac box with random numbers, I never noticed any clues that would have helped to solve that puzzle, what did I miss? The girl walking constantly is more just weird, it actually added a creepiness to it, so I'd consider keeping it, and maybe just adjusting it instead. But yes, it is important to flesh out all the game breaking bugs before upping that creep factor. I look forward to when you get it all worked out, thanks for watching!
I tried to answer your youtube, but it didn't register....wierd.
Yeah that’s the major issue I have. If I use a cube on another cube which already is in a slot, the cube on the cursor disappears if I press “E”. However, I think I might have solved this issue last night. Need testing though.
Furthermore, I am working on to disallow using inventory items, while the inventory is closed. It is unnecessary and leads to bad behaviors anyway. I will look into the chess issue. Another guy suggested it should snap the pieces, when they are placed correctly. The zodiac puzzle, is all about counting their limbs. I have a hint in the journal, but I may consider to put a description somewhere in the house.
The issue with girl, was in the dialogue I meant. She kept walking against you. That’s a minor issue. I will also add some more variant behaviors onto her. Anyway, I really appreciate, to be informed about these bugs, so I can make the game better.
Thank you for email about your game. I have given it my thoughts and some areas of improvement. Overall not bad, some design choices are unique that I feel add to the overall feel of the game. I have started following you on itchio so please let me know about the next update. Hope you enjoy the video
I found the game interesting, though some of the clues were a bit too vague for my taste. (That could be just me though). Otherwise, atmosphere and creep factor is nearly spot on.
Thank you for playing, your video and your feedback!
You did a good long sequence. I like that.
I am aware of the hints/clues doesn’t help much. I am already working to make them better (not perfect). They will be implemented within the next update.
Likewise, I am aware of the NPC’s weird footstep sounds. I will try my best to fix it, but at the moment, there are so many other things/bugs I need to fix first.
I guess, I will have to make it possible to light up the lamps on the walls as well.
My main issue with this game was the assumption that everyone knows how to set up a chess board, or should I say the fact I had to google it. Immersion in a horror game is really important and even a few players as chess-inept as myself having to leave the game to work out a puzzle really takes away from the game.
First of all, yeah, I know it is a bit silly with the chess puzzle, and I do consider to make it different or remove it.
I will however make better clues/hints for the other puzzles.
I don’t know why you are playing puzzle games if you don't enjoy them. Or was it just my game? You didn’t give me much feedback to go on, beside the chess-puzzle was garbage. My game is listed as a puzzle game and it does have the “Puzzle” tag.
At last, you will have to understand I am working alone with this project in my spare time. It is very time consuming. I have listed the game as unfinished, so I don’t know why you are expecting a full game (stuff like ending screen or full bathroom).
Enjoyed the puzzles and enjoyed myself... however I sadly experienced a fatal bug with the damn child! I think the game is stepping in the right direction just the kinks need to be cleared! Enjoyed all the same!
Pretty cool. I like the way the inventory works. The journal system is good too, but I think it needs a little work to make some things clear. mostly, I wasn't sure if I even needed to do anything once I collected the chess pieces. I see below that this is something you are aware of though.
So I did not finish the demo (based on other comments), but I think I got pretty close.
hello! just got done, and i had a pretty good time!! i'll be following the development of this game, so i figured i'd tell you about the bugs i found and some general feedback!
BUGS
1. if you drag the raw meat directly onto the lit stove (that is, outside of the screen where you can drag the pan around), the meat disappears and you cant complete the objective
2. after taking the star cube out of the closet, the objective in my journal updated as though i had opened the lock successfully. i was still able to complete the puzzle, but this may be confusing to some
3. i didn't get the "big house" journal objective until i had already completed all of the tasks associated with it, so i was unable to complete it in the journal, but still got the "you completed the game" message at the front door
4. not game-breaking, but the jacket on the coat rack looks like a gray cube until you pick it up
5. the clock/bookshelf puzzle is a little unintuitive because you need the hint in one of the books to fix the clock, but the books need to be on the shelf BEFORE you fix the clock in order for it to register as completed, so it took me a little while to figure out the order of operations there
FEEDBACK
1. after you get all the chess pieces, the objective of the puzzle is very unclear. i'd suggest adding a hint as to what the player has to accomplish, if there isnt one already that i just missed
2. that said, i think the puzzle difficulty for everything else was pretty much perfect and would recommend only adding very subtle hints for puzzles like the zodiac box
3. i really liked how the food puzzle indirectly teaches the player that different foods heal different amounts of health, and that cooked meat is more effective than raw snacks
4. overall, i think this is actually a very well-paced and helpful tutorial area to start the game, bugs aside. looking forward to more :)
Hi, thank you for playing and your interest in my project. I am very glad you had a good time!
I wasn’t aware of the meat issue. I will definably look into that problem. Thanks
There are major issues with the cube-closet. I am trying my hardest to fix that. There are some combinations which are working, even though there are incorrect. Furthermore, I have spotted some cubes can disappear if you are doing a wrong maneuver. I think I am gonna rewrite the code for this one. As for the Objective. I will fix this as well.
I was trying to remake this objective, before I launched the current version. This may have become an issue while I did that. I will look into that as well.
The coat – well it is a temporary cube atm. I do have the model, but I was trying to make it look like it was hanging on a coat hanger. It didn’t behave as I wanted. That’s the reason.
Yeah. I know about this. I have given it much thought. The main reason why you place the books first, is because the bookshelf would open towards you. Therefore, I will make the clues better and the hint as well.
Chess-puzzle – Yes, I know a lot of players struggles here. I will make it better and combine the collecting pieces and the puzzle itself into one objective.
Zodiac – Yes, I agree with this one. I will make a clue somewhere.
The food – Yeah, that was the most logic thing to do, I guess.
I suppose you were playing the newest version, I just added that tutorial stuff to the game (Light the candle), to help players use the game mechanics.
The complete story hasn’t been written yet. There will be changes.
Overall, I am very glad you reported this stuff to me. You are showing that you care about my project by making a list this long. That’s makes me happy 😊
I am working alone, so it may take a while to fix all this, but I can guarantee, I’ll try my hardest to fix it all.
Hi walrusguy. I have been trying to provoke the meat error you mentioned, but I can't. Can you describe in details what you did. You are welcome to mail it to me: acesgamedevelopment@gmail.com
Very much inspired by amnesia. wich i like. very good demo. no doubt i will play full game. The only problem is, that i am maybe too dumb for this game lol. but i still love it! good job.
I believe I have played the updated version. So I really like this. I had gotten stumped on one of the puzzles. Thankfully I broke the game which gave me time for a mental break and I was able to complete the DEMO. I do show how I broke the game in mt video. Some things I assume based on observations, we have a health bar so I assume in the future that's going to come into play more than it does in the demo. I really didn't need the candle I would suggest tweaking that a bit. The areas that I could tell were supposed to be dark were bright enough without any issues. A couple of spelling mistakes.(that's just me nitpicking) I really enjoyed this demo and can not wait for the full game.
I really loved the atmosphere of the game, such chill and spooky! Enjoyed the random laughs and spooky sounds once in a while, the piano was a nice touch. I gotta say you got far for a Demo and can't wait for full version!
Would love some more real scares at the final version and maybe possibilites to die? Just a thought :)
Keep up the awesome work and thanks for letting me know regarding this game !: D
Unaware v0.0.7 is a horror, puzzle and story rich game. I've played the game 2nd time. The puzzle elements in the game outweigh, the story and horror themes alongside well-processed. New NPC that can speak and direct player added to game. It's very nice. Pros: It has an awesome environment. Controls was easy to get used to. How to play part is guiding. Light and dark areas is improved by first game release. Text are easy to read and has good quality. Hints are very usefull, sound effects are excellent. Cons & Additions: No cons, crouch and jumping movements are expecting. Thanks to the Aces Games, keep going!
I am so glad you like the game. You are doing a great job testing out possible bug scenarios. I spotted some issues while watching. The chess board told you, the wrong information while you didn’t have all the pieces. I will also make it impossible to use items while the inventory is closed. It causes some bad behaviors at the moment.
I like the concept of this game. The puzzles were fun,but pretty difficult to figure out. I did notice that if you play the game on the ultra preset the game is much darker then on the low setting. Anyway thanks for sending me the game to try out! Hope the final product is everything that you want it to be.
Hewwo Earth dwellers! I played more than ONE scary game and this time around we have special guest Unaware! Many thanks to the developer that reached out and told me about the game! Didn't finish because i'm a fat dumb shit!
Yes, I know. The hints aren’t helping much. I did however improve some of them in the latest version. I will make them even more meaningful in the long run.
Hi, Thank you for playing and the video. I hope you had fun! At the moment the game does have a lot of puzzles. They will be thinned out as the game grows larger. Furthermore you will be able to walk outside like Skyrim etc. As you perfectly said. "If you have health, you can lose health". That will become possible in the future as well :)
I understand that this game is a Demo. But it was listed as a horror. It felt more like a puzzle with horror atmosphere. I do believe this game has potential and would love to play a more flushed out version that has a story, or at least a bit more story, programed in it. That being said I do love and enjoy the game and hope to see an update in the near future!
Here's a full detail description of my thoughts on the game.
Pros:
- Great atmosphere
- Little girl is creep AF
- Journal give you hints if you chose to use it. Great idea for those who want help or those who want to figure it out.
Cons:
- Majority of the puzzles have no backing. Example: The Clock was a lucky guess. The chess pieces do nothing when found or wasn't explained what needed to be done.
- Puzzles like the 3 cubes and the 8 pictures do require a bit of thinking.
- Texture quality could be smoother.
- Candle didn't really do much. Without it I can still see perfectly fine. Also, a small bug I found is when you don't have the candle light. You can still pick up candles and use them. Basically wasting a candle stick.
- Text speed is painfully slow. No skip or fast forward option.
- (Personal) Demo had no end. You basically do all the puzzles you're able to and that's it. Nothing tells you, you are finished.
Thank you for playing, your video and your feedback! This was the first time I saw a playthrough with the new version of the demo. I had a fun time watching it. Very good feedback list you made there. I will try my best to answer everything.
As you already mentioned it was a demo version. That’s why the game lacks the story plot and some stuff is out of content. It will come along in the future. For the time being, it is most important to see if the game mechanics work correctly. The clock does have a clue within the brown book you read (12 soldiers etc.) I will however work on the chess puzzle. In fact, I am not sure, if I event want it as it is at the moment. Textures will become better in the final version. I will also implement decals and a lot more assets. The candle – Well I am not sure if I want it to be in the first room. For the moment it remains. I am aware of the using candlestick bugs. It will be fixed within the next update.
I will try to make some more tutorial stuff in the first room, so it is easier for the player to learn the game. I will also make a notification for the player to remember to pick up the candle before he leaves the room. I have seen a bunch of videos. Some players have different lighting settings than others. In your case, the light didn’t do much. Furthermore, the girl-shadow on the wall in the red room didn’t appear when you entered. I will look into that as well. Text speed – If you mean in the dialogue with the NPC, it can be skipped if you press escape. I will make it highlight in the next update. Your suggestion with the forward option was great. I will try make it possible. I will also make it possible to see the dialogues in the journal on a different page.
If you have done the main objective, you are able to click the front door and get a notification about you have finished the demo. I will try and make a notification, when you have completed these objectives, and are ready to head outside. Finally, I will disallow the player moving stuff from inventory while it is closed. It causing some confusing situations.
i was recommended this horror game late last week thanks for the email(: its a good start considering its only a demo. and i hope it becomes more entertaining as development with the game progresses.
the lantern actually died on me a few times without my doing lol, possible bug? The texture of the rooms could also be improved, maybe even make the NPC ghost into a jump scare to get a reaction out of players?
also most of the puzzles were very straight forward and simple expect the astrology box puzzle down stairs which was a little confusing but thanks for the heads up.
Unaware is an awesome game. The puzzle elements in the game outweigh, the story and horror themes alongside well-processed. Pros: It has an awesome environment. Controls was easy to get used to. How to play part is guiding. Light and dark areas is ok. Text are easy to read and has good quality. Hints are very usefull, sound effects are excellent. Cons & Additions: This is the demo version of the game, I know, but in future may be more candles will be added or keep burning for a while. There are some glitches in attic. If pressing space at short intervals, our character jumping a little bit but not adequate. May be crouch movement will be add, so players can easily crouch for finding sth. When investigating an object, pressing J or I button didn't work sometimes. Thanks to the Aces Games, keep going!
I got a bit lost and I think I messed up a few of the puzzles. I did my best and I thought I was right with the clock puzzle but it just didn't want to work for me, not sure why...
Thank you for asking me to play this game. This was really neat! Not so scary tho and based more puzzle solving than spookiness but the puzzles were interesting. I was able to solve all what I found and then I didn't know what to do or where to go or what to do items what I have. anyway here is video of it!
Hello! Firstly, i love your game so far! :) Also, i have some questions and i was hoping you can help me a bit: i can't pass the chess puzzle, and also the clock puzzle. Some hints, pls?! :)
I tried the game... and would say it got a lot of different puzzles already some harder than others... Would recommend others to try the game and leave some comments on the game so the developer can make it an even bigger game...

After playing version 0.0.9 I have drawn some conclusions:
Pros:
- Very varied and entertaining puzzles.
Cons:
- Unfortunately I found three important bugs that did not allow me to finish the game:
a) Elizabeth approached me to talk to me but I was between the clock and the table, causing my character to be unable to move.
b) Just after the first bug, I opened the pause menu but it never appeared, when I moved the mouse only the compass moved.
c) When I got the 3 chess pieces I tried to solve the puzzle, but at first it seemed confusing and I left it for later, but when I came back it told me that I was missing pieces, even though I had them all in the journal.
- I found some small bugs (they don't affect the game):
a) Some lights disappear when you walk away and suddenly appear when you approach (living room).
b) In the attic, I placed myself on top of an object and the character's camera went over the roof and I could see the outside scene (sky, trees ...).
c) When my lighter's bar ran out, the light didn't go out. It only went out when I did it myself.
Suggestions:
- Add more horror moments.
- Remove background music and replace it with more sound effects. Example: when you approach a window that the wind and the sound of trees are heard.
That generates more immersion. (It's only a personal opinion)
- When entering "puzzle mode" and hover over the objects that you can collect, I would like "E" to know that you can interact with that.
Thank you for playing and your feedback!
Great, I'm glad I was helpful.
I am sure that soon the game will improve a lot.
Keep up the good work!
This is a good start to a game! The puzzles took awhile but I think it could use some more intensity as far as the horror goes.
Thank you for playing and you video!
You finished the game, nice job!
Thanks again.
Thank you for playing
I am glad you liked it so far.
Finally played this demo. Creepy vibe but could not figure out the puzzle.
Thank you for playing and your video!
You figured out the zodiac box, good job.
horror games bad 4 my mental health kkkk
I am sorry to hear that.
Keep it up!
Thank you for playing, your video and your feedback.
Good job on completing the game.
I have mailed you my answers!
Thank you for playing and your video.
Thanks again!

Thanks!
Had a bit of fun with this one! Boy am I terrible at puzzles but hey it gave me a few spooks and I had fun. Which is the most important. Keep it up!
Thank you for playing and your video
Unfortunately, you were playing an older version. Some of the flaws you encountered, has already been fixed. This includes better hints/clues as well.
I am glad you had fun.
Cheers
Thank you for email about your game. I have given it my thoughts and some areas of improvement. Overall not bad, some design choices are unique that I feel add to the overall feel of the game.
I have started following you on itchio so please let me know about the next update. Hope you enjoy the video
Thank you for playing, your video and your feedback!
Good job on completing the game.
I have mailed you my answers (it is quite long)
I found the game interesting, though some of the clues were a bit too vague for my taste. (That could be just me though). Otherwise, atmosphere and creep factor is nearly spot on.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
I am glad you had a good time while playing!
Thank you for playing and your video
Have a nice day!
Enjoyed the puzzles and enjoyed myself... however I sadly experienced a fatal bug with the damn child! I think the game is stepping in the right direction just the kinks need to be cleared! Enjoyed all the same!
Thank you for playing and for the video!
I am sorry the game bugged on you, but I am also grateful to notice this bug.
I will change her behavior to vary more. So, she walks away and so on. I am aware of the sound issue, when you are walking away from her as well.
The candles should refill in the newest version, but I will check up on that as well.
The books you found on in the study room have some clues inside them. You seemed to figure it out anyway.
I am glad you enjoyed yourself.
Looking forward to new updates to play more!
Hi, thank you for playing and the video
I am glad you liked the game mechanics.
You were very close on finishing. The game will notify you if you do it though.
The chess puzzle is all about setting up the chessboard. Nothing more. I will make it clearer for the player in the next update.
The hammer isn’t important. I think I will remove it for the moment, because it confuses players when they find it.
The paper with the colors, was a clue for the book shelf. It shows how the books should be placed.
hello! just got done, and i had a pretty good time!! i'll be following the development of this game, so i figured i'd tell you about the bugs i found and some general feedback!
BUGS
1. if you drag the raw meat directly onto the lit stove (that is, outside of the screen where you can drag the pan around), the meat disappears and you cant complete the objective
2. after taking the star cube out of the closet, the objective in my journal updated as though i had opened the lock successfully. i was still able to complete the puzzle, but this may be confusing to some
3. i didn't get the "big house" journal objective until i had already completed all of the tasks associated with it, so i was unable to complete it in the journal, but still got the "you completed the game" message at the front door
4. not game-breaking, but the jacket on the coat rack looks like a gray cube until you pick it up
5. the clock/bookshelf puzzle is a little unintuitive because you need the hint in one of the books to fix the clock, but the books need to be on the shelf BEFORE you fix the clock in order for it to register as completed, so it took me a little while to figure out the order of operations there
FEEDBACK
1. after you get all the chess pieces, the objective of the puzzle is very unclear. i'd suggest adding a hint as to what the player has to accomplish, if there isnt one already that i just missed
2. that said, i think the puzzle difficulty for everything else was pretty much perfect and would recommend only adding very subtle hints for puzzles like the zodiac box
3. i really liked how the food puzzle indirectly teaches the player that different foods heal different amounts of health, and that cooked meat is more effective than raw snacks
4. overall, i think this is actually a very well-paced and helpful tutorial area to start the game, bugs aside. looking forward to more :)
Hi, thank you for playing and your interest in my project. I am very glad you had a good time!
The only problem is, that i am maybe too dumb for this game lol. but i still love it! good job.
here is my video btw
Thank you so much for playing and your video!
You did acutally pretty well :)
I am sorry the game bugged on you. I am aware of items disappearing, if you are doing a wrong maneuver. I am trying my hardest to fix that.
Furthermore, I need to fix the closet puzzle, because what you did, was not the correct solution, but I am glad I noticed that 😊
Fun fact. I never even played Amnesia, even though I have had it for years on Steam.
Hope you had fun anyway.
Cheers
Thank you so much for playing and your video!
I am glad you liked it. Good job on finishing the game.
Yeah, the health will become useful in the future.
I am aware of certain lighting issues with different quality settings. I will look into that when I have the time.
As for spelling mistakes. If you would help me point out what you noticed, I would be pleased.
Sorry you got stuck, but good for me to know
Thanks again for a good coverage.
can you make a home alone horror game it be so fun plz
Unfortunately, I can’t . This project is very time consuming
ok thank you for replying
No problem!
Thank you for playing and the video!
You will become able to die in the future. That's why I'd made a healthbar :)
Furthermore, there will come much more scary stuff. This is just a teaser.
Sweeeeeet! Let me know if you need alpha/beta tester and when the game releases, would love another crack at it! :D
Sure thing!

Thank you for playing and the video!
You shouldn’t be afraid of her. She is harmless 😊
It seems weird you got stuck. I will look into that.
Anyway, I hope you had fun, and I hope you are getting well any time soon!
Thanks for this second video and good coverage
I am so glad you like the game.
You are doing a great job testing out possible bug scenarios.
I spotted some issues while watching. The chess board told you, the wrong information while you didn’t have all the pieces.
I will also make it impossible to use items while the inventory is closed. It causes some bad behaviors at the moment.
I didn't noticed some of these issues, I'm glad if I could help you.
I like the concept of this game. The puzzles were fun,but pretty difficult to figure out. I did notice that if you play the game on the ultra preset the game is much darker then on the low setting. Anyway thanks for sending me the game to try out! Hope the final product is everything that you want it to be.
Thank you for playing and the video
You finished the demo, congratulations.
Yeah, I am aware of the lighting/shadow quality in different quality settings. I will look into that problem.
I am glad you had fun. Thanks again!
Hewwo Earth dwellers! I played more than ONE scary game and this time around we have special guest Unaware! Many thanks to the developer that reached out and told me about the game! Didn't finish because i'm a fat dumb shit!
Thank you for playing and the video!
Yes, I know. The hints aren’t helping much. I did however improve some of them in the latest version. I will make them even more meaningful in the long run.
Hope you had fun.
Cool game. Lots of puzzles which look quite promising.
Pros: - Great atmosphere - Little girl is creep AF - Journal give you hints if you chose to use it. Great idea for those who want help or those who want to figure it out.
Cons: - Majority of the puzzles have no backing.
It causing some confusing situations.
thank you again for the invite. also nice job awesome game!
Thank you for playing and your video!
Congratulations on finishing the demo. Good job!
i was recommended this horror game late last week thanks for the email(: its a good start considering its only a demo. and i hope it becomes more entertaining as development with the game progresses.
the lantern actually died on me a few times without my doing lol, possible bug? The texture of the rooms could also be improved, maybe even make the NPC ghost into a jump scare to get a reaction out of players?
also most of the puzzles were very straight forward and simple expect the astrology box puzzle down stairs which was a little confusing but thanks for the heads up.
Thank you for playing, the video
I have replied you on your youtube channel.
Thank you for playing and the video!
Hi, thank you for playing, the video and your feedback. It really means a lot to me!
You are welcome. Playing Unaware gave me a very good time really!Any comments, likes, dislikes, shares of my YT channel welcome btw.
Gave it a go...
Hi, thank you for playing and the video!
I am sorry you didn’t like the game, but thanks for being honest.
Thanks for Sending me the link of this game. Incredible work nice puzzle with couple of bugs. :)
Hi, thank you for playing and the video!
I hope you enjoyed the game!
Yeah :)
Hi, thank you for playing and the video!
Man, you are almost better to this game than myself 😉
Good job!
Made a video
Thank you for playing and the video!
I got a bit lost and I think I messed up a few of the puzzles. I did my best and I thought I was right with the clock puzzle but it just didn't want to work for me, not sure why...
Hi, thank you for playing, the video and the feedback!
I guess I'll give the candle some more juice :)
It'd be nice, just a little bit more because it can be pretty hard to see still lol
Thank you for asking me to play this game. This was really neat! Not so scary tho and based more puzzle solving than spookiness but the puzzles were interesting. I was able to solve all what I found and then I didn't know what to do or where to go or what to do items what I have. anyway here is video of it!
Thank you for playing and the video!
I know the game is not too scary at the moment, but it will be in the future. Thats a promis.
This is a demo, therefore some items are not useable and not important yet.
It is important to me to see if the game mechanics works as they should.
Thank you for playing and for the vid :)
Hello! Firstly, i love your game so far! :) Also, i have some questions and i was hoping you can help me a bit: i can't pass the chess puzzle, and also the clock puzzle. Some hints, pls?! :)
Hi, Thank you for playing.
The chess puzzle, you need 3 missing pieces. The puzzle is not really a puzzle. Just think from the beginning.
The clock puzzle is connected to the books laying around in the study room. If you read the books, you can see a short description. This is the hint.
If you need further help, please ask me :)
here is my Gameplay Video, best regards from Germany ;)
Thank you for playing and for the video!
My german is a little rusty, but I did understand parts of it :)
;) hey, i am Happy that you like it ;) can't wait for the full Version of this one ;)
add more Monsters / Ghost's / Jumpscares or so, which make the atmosphere
intensive ;) Thx for your Email and let me play it ;)
Here's the gameplay! I still couldn't light the stove! I will say, though, I really like these types of games. I would definitely play a full version!
I CAN'T LIGHT THE DAMN STOVE!! D:
Did you collect all the wood and paper?
Yes! 4 pieces of wood and 1 piece of paper! I couldn't light it. Also, I couldn't turn on the lantern either and the map is blank!
I haven't drawed the map yet, thats why it's blank.
The lantern has no functionality yet, and is not important in the demo.
The stove should work though. It seems really strange that you can't light it up.
But I thank you for playing and for the feedback.
I tried the game... and would say it got a lot of different puzzles already some harder than others... Would recommend others to try the game and leave some comments on the game so the developer can make it an even bigger game...
Thank you for playing.
